How to hide my IP address using VPN service? OpenVPN / PPtP / DoubleVPN.

Why Do I need a VPN?
Most of our customers use VPN because they can
- encrypt internet traffic for information safety. It is especially important for widespread Wi-Fi hotspots which are unprotected;
- hide IP address;
- bypass a corporate firewall. Nowadays many companies limit the use of the Internet at work place by blocking entertainment site like social networks, game sites and so;
Let's look at the usual connection scheme ( pictured ):
User connects to the Internet by means of common ISP. If we use a spyware software from client to server data channel we will recieve a lot of data about connection. Here is the example of such received traffic:

As you can see we are trying to access secretline.biz website and get a picture. Of course some of us don't worry about sharing their surfing history with everybody but at the same time you can easily lose all personal passwords from many sites. So, what do you need to do?
VPN encryption
The best variant is to encrypt all your internet traffic. Some sites provide with additional access method - HTTPS protocol ( looks like https://example.com ). HTTPS uses traffic encription between server and client so even if somebody gets an access to this data it will be useless. Unfortunately the HTTPS protocol is not so widely supported by popular sites ( exept very popular, like Twitter, Facebook, GMail and so on). So how can you protect yourself? That's why you need VPN.
As you can see at the picture, all data go through the VPN server. All clients data became a useless mush on the VPN output, and anybody who got an access to your data channel will read only encrypted data, without any chance to decrypt them in a reasonable time.
VPN software
We provide VPN service using such softwares as OpenVPN ( free software using OpenSSL ) and PPtP ( Point-to-Point Protocol, developed by Microsoft ). Difference table is given below:

Both of this softwares support required encryption level. Nowadays breaking keys with keysize more than 128 is a very difficult task. We recommend to use OpenVPN for our clients.
